I grew up with eight brothers and sisters, in a ramshackle house overlooking Bath, playing in woods and fields.
I have been a practising artist all my life, living and working in England, Seychelles, Australia, beside the river Severn and now overlooking a valley in Stroud. Always with a view, nature, stories and pictures.
I am inspired by the natural world and have been working on my own stories about wildlife migration.
My most recent work is a children’s picture book called Perfect, written by the award-winning author Nicola Davies and published by Graffeg in May 2016
Art is my first language. As a child I scribbled on the walls of my bedroom and ever since have felt a sense of urgency to paint and draw stories and feelings I believe need to be heard and expressed. I work on paper, drawing and painting in mixed media, aiming to let the picture tell the story and for something there isn’t always words for.
